This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to take on a number 2 leadership position and has experience in transformation and change across finance and accounting processes and procedures. The position will be office-based with no hybrid working, offering excellent on-site facilities and a market-leading benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the finance team, reporting to the Finance Director, to ensure robust financial controls and compile the month-end reporting pack for the leadership team.
- Play a key role in infrastructure development, including reporting and processing.
- Work as a business partner to budget holders, ensuring accountability for variance results.
- Manage and lead the budget process, implementing controls as required.
- Prepare statutory accounts for all subsidiary companies, working with internal and external auditors.
- Oversee transactional finance, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and treasury functions.
- Ensure VAT and statutory returns are completed.
- A formal qualification in finance with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience.
- Experience in the public sector or education is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
