ACCA Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our client, a leading education consortium, during an exciting period of transformation and change. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial excellence and supporting the organization's strategic objectives.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance team, reporting to the Finance Director, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place. You will also be responsible for compiling the month-end reporting pack for the leadership team and working closely with budget holders to ensure accountability for variance results.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the month-end reports for presentation to the Finance Director and leadership team.
- Working as a business partner to budget holders, ensuring accountability for variance results.
- Managing and leading the budget process, implementing controls as required.
- Preparing statutory accounts for all subsidiary companies, working with internal and external auditors.
- Overseeing transactional finance, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and treasury functions.
- Ensuring VAT and statutory returns are completed.
The ideal candidate will have a formal qualification in finance, with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience. Experience working within the public sector or education is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
