About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative service, contributing to the development of evidence-based interventions and service improvements. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessments and psychological therapies to children and young people with eating disorders.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in working with complex cases, and contribute to the development of the service through participation in team discussions, formulation, and service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake specialist psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to children, young people, and families.
  • Contribute to the development of the service through participation in team discussions, formulation, and service development.
  • Develop and maintain skills and knowledge in working with complex cases, including risk assessments and management.
  • Provide teaching and training to colleagues and contribute to the development of the service through supervision and leadership.
Requirements
  • Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
  • Post-qualification training or proven equivalent experience in supervision.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers, including using goal-based care and routine outcome measures in practice.
  • Experience of working with a range of children and young people with complex needs, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
