We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children, young people, and families.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative service that is committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in Devon. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, Psychiatrists, Assistant Psychologists, and Mental Health Practitioners from a range of backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children, young people, and families.
- Work collaboratively with service users and their families/carers, including using goal-based care and routine outcome measures in practice.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based and outcome-monitored psychological therapies.
- Contribute to the development of others, such as supervision and training, as well as clinical leadership skills to contribute to quality improvement and service development.
- Work closely with partners in paediatrics and inpatient CAMHS to provide specialist assessment and treatment for young people who present with significant mental health concerns related to eating.
- A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Experience of working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers, including using goal-based care and routine outcome measures in practice.
- Experience of working with a range of children and young people with complex needs, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems and verbal abuse.
- Experience of undertaking specialist psychological assessments and providing evidence-based interventions, with the ability to work with complex needs and undertake risk assessments.
- Experience in providing teaching and training.
- Experience of safeguarding children and ensuring the safety of young people in partnership with other agencies as appropriate.
- Experience that evidences an ability to attend to diversity and work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
