JOB OVERVIEW

Wood is actively seeking an Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a key operational site. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all instrumentation systems are functioning optimally, maintained in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The successful candidate will be tasked with executing maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established work plans and safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as outlined in the maintenance management system, under the guidance of supervisory personnel.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including risk assessments and permits, to facilitate maintenance operations.
  • Conduct isolations on instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety management and legislative requirements.
  • Monitor safety and production-critical equipment, promptly reporting any deviations and generating work orders as needed.
  • Execute troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on all site instrumentation, ensuring timely repairs.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and address any discrepancies.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to new team members and temporary staff.
  • Work towards minimizing downtime and achieving production objectives.
  • Compile technical reports as required.

Conduct inspections and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in potentially hazardous environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
  • Level 3 VQ (modern apprenticeship) in Maintaining Plant - Instruments & Control,
or
  • Instrumentation Apprenticeship (BTEC/ONC) or equivalent City and Guilds qualification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Certification in ATEX Inspections COMPEX level 01-04.
  • Experience with Maintaining Small Bore Tubing SBT01 & SBT02.
  • Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Familiarity with DCS, ESD, F&G, Fiscal metering, ISSOW, and Maximo systems is advantageous.
