Job Title: Community Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Manager to join our team at the British Science Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies to promote science and research to underrepresented groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage community engagement programs to reach underserved audiences.
  • Collaborate with community organizers and researchers to develop and deliver high-quality programs.
  • Manage the British Science Week Community Grant Scheme and provide delivery support to the Community Led Research Pilot.
  • Provide capacity building and development support to delivery partners and participants in grant programs.
  • Line manage a Community Engagement Officer and provide effective management across projects and programs.
  • Work with the Head of Community Engagement to develop new partnerships and programs to support underrepresented groups.

Requirements:

  • Experience in community engagement, capacity building, and partnership working.
  • Strong understanding of science and research and its relevance to underrepresented groups.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
