We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) in our Haematology & Oncology Day Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by Example: Demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs.
- Autonomy and Decision Making: Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care, working directly with clinical leaders and gaining experience with new practices, equipment, and facilities.
- Deliver High-Quality Care: Administer SACT and supportive treatments, assist with Holistic Needs Assessments, complete UKONS triage and assessments, and provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Interact with practitioners from other departments, educate patients in the management of their care, and assist with outpatient consultant clinics.
- NMC Registration: Be a qualified nurse registered with the NMC.
- UKONS SACT Passport: Hold a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent).
- Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience.
- Skills: Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices, and competent in UKONS triage.
- Qualification in SACT: Possess a qualification in SACT.
- Advanced Communication Training: Have advanced communication training.
