As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Your goal will be to minimize costs and enhance value for money while achieving the required standards and quality.
- Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Prepare and analyze costings for tenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Allocate work to subcontractors, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Provide expert advice on contractual claims and disputes.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction industry practices, processes, and standards.
- Proficiency in computer software programs related to job responsibilities.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- A proven track record in a Quantity Surveyor role within the property industry.
