About the Role:
  • As a Deputy Manager, you will share responsibility for managing the team and overseeing the daily operations of the residential service.
  • Your duties will encompass planning rotas, ensuring staff compliance, and fostering a supportive environment where individuals can thrive.
  • You will play a vital role in encouraging independence, supporting individual choices, and promoting the well-being of those in your care.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Service Manager in managing the team and service operations.
  • Develop and implement effective rotas for staff members.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines and standards within the service.
  • Create a positive and nurturing environment that empowers individuals to make their own decisions.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all service users.
  • Implement personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Accompany service users on outings into the community, engaging in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Provide varying levels of personal care as required.
Requirements:
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care with a willingness to pursue Level 3 qualifications.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Support Worker within a residential setting.
  • A resilient and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • A full driving license is essential due to the nature of the role.
  • Comfort and willingness to provide personal care assistance.
