We are seeking an exceptional Associate Dean to join our School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire. As a key member of our School Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping our academic vision and strategy, driving excellence in teaching and research, and fostering a supportive and inclusive culture for our students and staff.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of academic leadership, with experience of managing school-level performance, developing pedagogic communities of practice, and building internal and external relationships. You will be a strategic thinker, able to contribute to the School's and University's vision and strategy, and have a deep understanding of the nursing and midwifery sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the School's and University's vision and strategy, driving excellence in teaching and research.
  • Manage school-level performance, improving league table rankings and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and sustain internal and external relationships, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture.
  • Lead the development of pedagogic communities of practice, driving innovation and excellence in teaching.
