As a Datacentre Technician with Equinix, you will play a critical role in maintaining our data center facilities and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class service to our customers. This is a 12-month fixed-term position based in Harbour Exchange London.
Key Responsibilities:- Queue Management / Reporting: Review and respond to work order requests in a timely manner, adhering to standard operating procedures and escalating non-standard requests as needed.
- Installations: Perform semi-routine customer equipment installations, including rack and stack, intra-cage infrastructure installations, and fiber tray installations.
- Cross-Connect: Support semi-routine data center standard operating cross-connect work order requests, including installs, terminations, modifications, and testing.
- Testing / Troubleshooting: Support semi-routine standard operating testing and installations of customer assets, including layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Support operations and security personnel teams, providing backup assistance and support with standard operating procedural tasks.
- Customer Management: Deliver a high level of service and excellent customer experience, adhering to semi-routine execution order requirements and providing support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations.
- Projects: Support fulfillment of projects that follow standard operating procedures, working under supervision if projects deviate from standard procedures.
- Training: Complete all assigned training in a timely manner and provide support to new hires.
This role requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.
