Job Description

Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

Innovate is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and testing cameras to characterize and verify the performance of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Complete PCB design, comprising component selection, schematic capture, analysis, documentation, and management of external layout activities, for space applications.
  • Design Presentation and Communication: Develop and present thoughts and designs that satisfy requirements, motivated by needs from both internal and external customers. Maintain and update the matrix for compliance verification with electrical standards.
  • System Architecture and Documentation: Use interface diagrams and charts to capture the intricate system architecture and enhance lifecycle documentation in order to pass gate reviews and advance development quickly.
  • Gate Review and Communication: Assemble and present the required internal and external gate review paperwork pertaining to the electrical design. It will be required of the engineer to communicate with all parties involved in a clear and efficient manner.
  • Team Leadership and Development: The chosen applicant will be expected to take the lead in advancing the department's capabilities; for more seasoned candidates, this will involve coaching and developing the team's engineers.
  • Testing and Verification: Take the initiative to test and verify electronics and to prepare the related paperwork in an organized and understandable manner.
  • Engineering Lifecycle and Standards: For seasoned candidates, it helps to have a solid grasp of the engineering lifecycle necessary for high-reliability electronics and to follow pertinent standards.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of PCB design approaches required when dealing with High-speed circuitry.
  • Design Innovation: Ability to create electronic designs that are innovative and add value to new and existing test systems.
  • Reliability and Standards: Demonstration of working to standards for high reliability.
  • Electronics and Electrical Interfaces: Strong and in-depth understanding of electronics and electrical interfaces.
  • Communication and Presentation: Ability to convey technical data and complex electrical designs in an easy-to-understand format.
