We are seeking a proactive and skilled Clinical Pharmacist to enhance our Surgical Pharmacy team at a leading healthcare institution. This role offers the opportunity to engage within a Major Trauma centre, delivering exceptional clinical pharmacy services across diverse surgical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered clinical pharmacy services within the Surgical Pharmacy unit
  • Serve as both a leader and a collaborative team member within the Surgical Pharmacy
  • Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services and guidance to various clinical specialties
  • Work with the team to innovate and streamline pharmacy services

Job Duties:

  • Strategic planning and execution of clinical pharmacy services
  • Assist in overseeing pharmaceutical expenditures and budget management
  • Development and implementation of clinical pharmacy policies
  • Deliver specialized clinical pharmacy care in surgical environments
  • Lead and coordinate the clinical pharmacy team effectively

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Certificate

Desirable:

  • Current registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership
  • Postgraduate specialization qualification

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • In-depth knowledge of clinical pharmacy
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical specialties
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Awareness of NHS priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience in budget and personnel management
  • Familiarity with treatment pathways
  • Experience in research presentations

Aptitude and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Effective time management capabilities

  • Potential for management roles
  • Skills in teaching and presentation
