Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a diverse range of professionals to assume Senior, Principal, or Chief Geotechnical Engineering roles within our Ground Engineering division. Candidates should be capable of leading intricate geotechnical projects with minimal oversight, engaging in technical reviews, and assisting colleagues in enhancing their understanding of advanced geotechnical principles and offshore geotechnics.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in both the Offshore Geotechnics and Numerical Modelling Technical Disciplines, ensuring that AtkinsRéalis continues to advance its geotechnical design and modelling capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • A solid academic foundation with a relevant degree, ideally complemented by an MSc or PhD in a pertinent field.
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical analysis and design, particularly within the Offshore sector.
  • Proficiency in leading offshore design projects, including offshore foundation design (monopile, jacket foundations, and suction caissons), driveability, cable burial trench ability, and deep-water anchoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced constitutive soil models, parameter selection for such models, soil-structure interaction, and familiarity with numerical modelling software (FLAC, PLAXIS 2D / 3D, etc.) alongside standard geotechnical software.
  • Experience in validating geotechnical numerical analyses and calibrating numerical models.
  • Ability to manage the geotechnical numerical analysis process within an interdisciplinary project environment.
  • A passion for driving digital innovation and enhancing AtkinsRéalis' capabilities in offshore geotechnics and advanced geotechnical analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients and engineers from various disciplines.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to self-review and produce precise work.
  • A willingness to travel for short assignments, both domestically and internationally.
  • Progressing towards or holding Chartered status.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
The office location can be discussed during the interview process, with a preference for candidates to work from our various offices.

Compensation and Benefits:

We provide a competitive salary that is regularly benchmarked against other consultancies, along with a default of 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell leave. Salary and benefits will be aligned with experience and qualifications.
