Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for professionals to fill Senior, Principal, or Chief Geotechnical Engineering roles within our Ground Engineering division. Candidates should be capable of leading intricate geotechnical projects with minimal oversight, participating in technical reviews, and aiding colleagues in enhancing their understanding of advanced geotechnical principles and offshore geotechnics.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in both the Offshore Geotechnics and Numerical Modelling Technical Disciplines, ensuring that AtkinsRéalis continues to advance its geotechnical design and modelling capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • A solid academic foundation with a relevant degree, preferably complemented by an MSc or PhD in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical analysis and design, particularly within the Offshore sector.
  • Proficiency in leading offshore design projects, including foundation design (monopile, jacket foundations, and suction caissons), driveability, cable burial trench ability, and deep-water anchoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced constitutive soil models, parameter selection for these models, soil-structure interaction, and experience with numerical modelling software (FLAC, PLAXIS 2D / 3D, etc.) in addition to standard geotechnical tools.
  • Experience in validating geotechnical numerical analysis and calibrating numerical models.
  • Ability to manage the geotechnical numerical analysis process within an interdisciplinary project framework.
  • A passion for driving digital innovation and enhancing AtkinsRéalis' capabilities in offshore geotechnics and advanced geotechnical analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients and engineers from various disciplines.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to self-review and produce precise work.
  • A willingness to travel for short assignments both domestically and internationally.
  • Progressing towards or holding Chartered status.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Compensation and Benefits:
