Key Responsibilities:

We are in search of individuals ready to undertake Senior, Principal, or Chief Geotechnical Engineering roles within our Ground Engineering division. Candidates should be capable of leading intricate geotechnical projects with minimal oversight, engaging in technical review processes, and assisting colleagues in enhancing their comprehension of advanced geotechnical principles and offshore geotechnics.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in both the Offshore Geotechnics and Numerical Modelling Technical Disciplines, ensuring that AtkinsRéalis continues to advance its geotechnical design and modelling capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • A solid academic foundation with a relevant degree, preferably complemented by an MSc or PhD in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical analysis and design, particularly within the Offshore sector.
  • Proficiency in leading offshore design projects, including foundation design (monopile, jacket foundations, and suction caissons), driveability assessments, cable burial trench capability, and deep-water anchoring.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced constitutive soil models, parameter selection for these models, soil-structure interaction, and familiarity with numerical modelling software (FLAC, PLAXIS 2D / 3D, etc.) alongside standard geotechnical tools.
  • Experience in validating geotechnical numerical analyses and calibrating numerical models.
  • Capability to manage the geotechnical numerical analysis process within an interdisciplinary project framework.
  • A passion for driving digital innovation and enhancing AtkinsRéalis' proficiency in offshore geotechnics and advanced geotechnical analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and engineers from various disciplines.
  • Strong report writing abilities, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
  • A willingness to undertake short-term travel assignments both domestically and internationally.
  • Progressing towards or holding Chartered status.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
The office location can be discussed during the interview process, with a preference for candidates who can work from various locations.
