Contract: Permanent Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Safety and Compliance Consultant, you will collaborate with the Hinkley Point team to promote, implement, and assess Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal standards.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Developing and evaluating Health and Safety Management systems in accordance with accredited standards (ISO).
  • Leading the formulation of organizational H&S objectives, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Contributing data for monthly and annual HS&E performance metrics and reports.
  • Offering guidance and support on all HS&E matters to the site team.
  • Assisting the team in the promotion, implementation, and assessment of HS&E policies and initiatives to ensure legal compliance.

Candidate Profile

This position is ideal for you if you possess:

  • Relevant Health and Safety NVQ, IOSH, and/or NEBOSH Certification (preferably in Construction) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in a SHE Advisor role.
  • Accident/Investigation Qualification (e.g., Kelvin TOPSET, ROSPA, or NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation).
  • Experience in auditing to ISO45001 standards.
