Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the construction team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.
- Support the development and maintenance of our health, safety, and wellbeing management system, ensuring it aligns with contractual requirements and industry standards.
- Liaise with external bodies as required to address health, safety, and wellbeing concerns.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify opportunities to design out health, safety, and wellbeing risks from conceptual design to construction phase and beyond.
- Lead on health, safety, and wellbeing strategies and champion a positive organisational culture that promotes world-class performance.
- Communicate and promote health, safety, and wellbeing plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives throughout the supply chain.
- Monitor and measure health, safety, and wellbeing performance in line with client contractual requirements, including trend analysis.
- Promote the company vision and values in all interactions with employees, clients, and external contacts.
- Conduct high-quality inspections and audits that go beyond compliance, identifying opportunities for improved operational performance.
- Lead and participate in accident investigations, ensuring robust findings and meaningful remedial actions.
- Proven experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor on infrastructure projects.
- Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards and industry best practices.
- Valid membership of IOSH and ability to deliver internal health and safety management courses.
- Able to advise on health and safety issues on a day-to-day basis on site and conduct standard accident investigations.
- Able to write site inspection reports and audit reports.
