Job Title: Asset Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team of safety specialists in a leading engineering and maintenance provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting continuous improvement and safe working practices across the site.

The Role
  • Contribute to HSE commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices, ensuring HSE Management System policies and procedures are implemented and utilised across all aspects of the project work scopes.
  • Monitor and review regular site performance through weekly inspections and audits, including assessment of all Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Agree remedial action with site management on any non-conformance and carry out follow-up review to ensure the appropriate implementation has taken place.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on project HSE performance targets/KPI's in line with business, client and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Deliver proactive advice and guidance on site to ensure HSE processes are followed, and key behaviours are embedded across the project work packages.
  • Manage the delivery of robust HSE inspection and audit regimes that effectively monitor compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Identify any relevant HSE related training requirements to ensure compliance on site.
The Setting for the Role

The role will involve working on a nuclear licensed site, where risks and hazards include nuclear fuel, radiation, working from heights, moving machinery, chemicals and gases, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise, and vibration levels.

Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 Mandatory.
  • CCNSG Safety Passport.
