About the Role

BAM Nuttall is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address health and safety concerns, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance health and safety awareness and skills among employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in health and safety management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Valid membership of IOSH and/or other relevant professional bodies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
