Retail Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team at Farmfoods in Greenwood Avenue, Hull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop a team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

Requirements:

  • A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
  • To be a 'people person' who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • To be trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team.
  • Some experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or a similar industry would be beneficial, but we encourage applications from those looking to start their retail management career.
