We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a Tobacco Addiction Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting the benefits of stopping smoking and providing support to service users wishing to become smoke-free.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tobacco addiction interventions, including nicotine replacement therapies and pharmacotherapy options, under the guidance of PGDs.
- Provide training and intervention across various settings to targeted groups, promoting behavior change and supporting individuals in their journey to quit smoking.
- Build effective partnerships with local agencies and organizations to promote the service and provide support to service users.
- Contribute to risk assessments and risk management plans, ensuring the service operates within contractual and administrative requirements.
- Record and input client data into the Quit Manager data system, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Substance Misuse Nurse with a strong background in tobacco addiction and behavior change. The ideal candidate will have:
- A first-level registered nurse qualification with recent relevant post-qualification experience and a current PIN.
- Non-medical prescriber status or a willingness to undertake training.
- A sound knowledge of working within PGDs and a willingness to undertake specific tobacco addiction training as required.
- Experience of contributing to project development and a strong understanding of motivational interviewing techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
