We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our service, you will play a vital role in promoting the benefits of stopping smoking and providing support to individuals wishing to become smoke-free.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver tobacco addiction interventions, including nicotine replacement therapies and pharmacotherapy options.
- Provide one-to-one sessions, group support, and telephone support to service users.
- Conduct assessments, plan, and deliver interventions to targeted groups.
- Build effective partnerships with local agencies and organisations.
- Contribute to risk management plans and record client data accurately.
- Ensure all assessments and interventions are recorded and monitored through our Quit Manager data system.
We are looking for a first-level registered nurse with recent relevant post-qualification experience and a current PIN. You should have a sound knowledge of working within PGDs and be willing to undertake specific tobacco addiction training as required.
As a compassionate and respectful practitioner, you will be able to communicate effectively with service users and colleagues alike. You should be able to assess and formulate treatment plans, and communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
