This role is designed for a Technical Sales Estimator with expertise in CNC Machining.

Our client, a leading Manufacturing firm specializing in high-precision components for various industries including Aerospace, Formula 1, Oil & Gas, and Defence, is seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Estimator to enhance their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver precise technical estimates for incoming projects, collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and the production team to ensure accuracy.
  • Strategically plan precision machining operations, generate quotations within specified timelines, and identify optimal manufacturing methods.
  • Assess, review, and respond to Customer RFQs and associated engineering drawings.
  • Create detailed quotations within deadlines, estimating all machining, materials, and inspection durations for in-house tasks while incorporating externally sourced components as necessary.
  • Comprehend and identify machining manufacturing methods and select precise cycle times, with a preference for candidates possessing CNC Turning & Boring experience.
Candidate Profile:

This position is ideal for an experienced Technical Sales Estimator or a former CNC machinist seeking a new opportunity in an office setting, where they can leverage their IT skills in a customer-centric role.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Significant experience in precision engineering with a comprehensive understanding of machine capabilities and machining practices.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and translating technical drawings is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy are crucial for success.
  • High level of computer literacy is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
