Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join our team at Torus Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Group Finance in the development and management of our business planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of annual business plans for the group and subsidiaries, providing financial commentary and analysis to support our corporate objectives.
  • Review and update business plans on a quarterly basis, analyzing their impact on our financial performance.
  • Produce information and analysis for inclusion in returns to the Regulator of Social Housing, including the Financial Forecast Return and Quarterly Financial Returns.
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure accurate financial management information.
  • Understand and calculate the impact of investment programs, new initiatives, and changing economic factors on our business plans.
  • Assist in the long-term planning of financial risk for the group, including scenario and stress testing of business plans.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Treasury Finance in providing information to lenders in line with agreed covenants.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Fully Qualified Professional accountancy qualification, e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent experience.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of accountancy practice.
  • Be able to demonstrate evidence of and commitment to continual professional, leadership, and personal development.
