Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join our team at Torus Group. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Group Finance in the management and development of the group and subsidiary business planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production, commentary, and analysis of the annual 30-year business plan for the group and 5-year plans for subsidiaries, providing financial commentary and analysis and comparison to prior plans.
  • Review and update Business Plans on a quarterly basis, analysing the impact on Torus Group.
  • Produce information and analysis for inclusion in returns to the Regulator of Social Housing, principally Financial Forecast Return (FFR) and Quarterly Financial Returns (QFR).
  • Develop, maintain, and review systems relevant to the production of accurate financial management information.
  • Understand and calculate the impact of investment programmes, new initiatives, and changing economic factors in relation to the group and subsidiary plans, liaising with Torus Group colleagues and external advisors where required.
  • Assist with the long-term planning of financial risk for the group, including scenario and stress testing of business plans.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Treasury Finance in the day-to-day provision of information to lenders in line with the agreed covenants with each lender.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Fully Qualified Professional accountancy qualification, e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent experience.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of accountancy practice.
  • Be able to show evidence of and commitment to continual professional, leadership, and personal development.
