We are seeking a skilled Health and Social Care Tutor to deliver and train learners from Entry 3 to Level 2. The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification (DTTLS, PTTLS) and a strong understanding of Ofsted standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote courses and recruit to maximize occupancy levels
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ensure students are on the right program and receiving the right level of support
- Plan and design training programs, including schemes of work and lesson plans, to meet individual requirements and ensure differentiation of learning
- Utilize new technologies, such as SoL-VE and webinars/Skype, to enhance the learning experience and meet market demands
- Deliver high-quality training to encourage learners to attend, stay on program, and achieve
- Manage the safe evacuation of students in the event of an emergency and ensure health and safety procedures are followed
- Prepare students to successfully undertake assignments or sit tests/exams to maintain high success rates
- Monitor and track student progress, including reviews, to ensure high achievement rates
- Mark and assess student work, provide structured feedback, and set development objectives
- Moderate coursework and liaise with external moderators to ensure university and awarding body standards are met
- Act as Program Leader for specific awards, with responsibility for admissions, tutor resource coordination, representation at exam boards, and program evaluation
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
