About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Educational Psychologist or Psychological Practitioner to join our team at Beechwood College, a specialist residential college for Autistic individuals.

The successful candidate will work in a vibrant and established clinical team, delivering behaviour support and psychological therapy to both residential and day students at the college.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive assessment and intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialised psychological assessment and therapy to students at Beechwood College
  • Work autonomously in accordance with The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles & Guidelines 2004, HCPC registration policies, and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures to facilitate improvements in service quality
  • Supervise and train other professionals and contribute to the training of trainee clinical psychologists
  • Utilise specialised research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Doctorate in Clinical/Educational Psychology or professional registration in a relevant health profession (Nursing, OT, SALT) plus further training in psychological therapy
  • Advanced PBS training
  • Postgraduate training in CBT / DBT / ACT / CFT / other therapies adapted for individuals with Autism
  • Mental Capacity Act Training
  • Experience of teaching other staff, working in Autism services, and working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of initiative
