About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Practitioner to join our team at Beechwood College, a specialist residential college for individuals with Autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized psychological assessment and therapy to students at Beechwood College
  • Work autonomously in accordance with The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles & Guidelines 2004, HCPC registration policies, and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures to facilitate improvements in service quality
  • Supervise and train other professionals and contribute to the training of trainee clinical psychologists
  • Utilize specialized research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Doctorate in Clinical/Educational Psychology
    • OR Professional Registration in a relevant health profession (Nursing, OT, SALT) plus further training in psychological therapy
    • Advanced PBS training
    • Postgraduate training in CBT / DBT / ACT / CFT / other therapies adapted for individuals with Autism
    • Mental Capacity Act Training
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of teaching other staff
    • Experience in Autism services
    • Experience in Learning Disability services
    • Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
    • Attending reviews and case conferences
    • Use of SPSS
