Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a winning bid strategy, managing the process of bidding for and securing tendered opportunities, and maintaining a strong understanding of the market and industry trends.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team at Michael Page Property & Construction. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a winning bid strategy
  • Managing the process of bidding for and securing tendered opportunities
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the market and industry trends
  • Collaborating with Regional Directors and their teams to support bids
  • Liaising with the internal bid team, including our Design Manager
  • Managing internal and external relationships with third parties
  • Reporting progress and issues to the Head of Business
  • Producing bid programmes and action plans
  • Increasing understanding of market and positions in the sector
  • Offering assistance, support, and mentoring to other team members

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Industry-specific knowledge
  • A proven track record in the housing sector
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on planned and responsive maintenance, retrofit, and sustainability
  • A high level of interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Proven project management skills
