Aila Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading business in the recruitment of a Financial Operations Assistant on a permanent basis.

We are recruiting for an energetic and aspiring Financial Operations Assistant who is eager to learn within a very collaborative finance team.

This opportunity will give you a broad range of exposure from general finance administration to daily bank reconciliations and managing supplier queries.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a role which will provide a great deal of support to the settled team of 4 within Finance on all things accounts payable, financial administration, and where needed, other areas including accounts receivable.

You will ideally have some exposure within a Finance team but more so possess a real drive and desire to learn, develop, and add value within a small but high-performing team.

Our client is a progressive and interesting company with multiple revenue streams and a c.£17m turnover with 10% year-on-year growth and a trajectory to double in the next 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily bank reconciliations
  • Manage company expense systems
  • Provide support towards month-end tasks
  • Review actual performance and make journals to ensure correct accounting policies
  • Analyze and challenge costs to ensure value added
  • Deal with maintenance of supplier ledgers and any associated queries
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks as required due to workload/holiday within the team

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess some exposure within a similar role but above all must possess the mindset and aptitude to learn in a role that can provide you with a great deal of exposure to develop on your existing skillset.

You will be keen to pursue (if not already) AAT and will receive the support required to achieve this alongside gaining hands-on experience within the role.
