**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Pig Stockperson to join our team at our farm in Southfield. As a Pig Stockperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellbeing of our indoor breeding herd of sows. Your daily duties will include feeding, vaccinating, moving, and handling the pigs, as well as loading and unloading them as required.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work with the breeding herd to ensure their health and wellbeing standards are met and exceeded.
  • Feed, vaccinate, move, and handle the pigs daily.
  • Load and unload pigs as required.
  • Complete and maintain pig data and records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the condition and appearance of the farm to high standards.
  • Operate farm machinery and equipment.
  • Depending on experience, perform farrowing house duties and pig nursery/unit management.

**Requirements**

  • Experience with livestock or an agricultural background is desirable.
  • A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is advantageous.
  • Farrowing house experience is desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail.
  • You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
