**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Pig Stockperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our pig farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and environmental sustainability.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the daily operations of the pig farm, including feeding, vaccinating, moving, and handling of animals.
  • Assist with breeding unit operations as required.
  • Load and unload pigs as necessary.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of pig data and farm operations.
  • Maintain the condition and appearance of the farm to the highest standards.
  • Operate farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in running a large nursery finishing unit is preferred.
  • Wet feed system experience is preferred.
  • A keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential.
  • Farrowing house experience is desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic are essential.
