At Cranswick Country Foods PLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Pig Stockperson. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading food producer and contribute to the success of our pig breeding and rearing operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily care and management of our indoor nursery and finishing units, ensuring the health and well-being of our pigs.
  • Work closely with our breeding unit team to achieve optimal breeding and rearing results.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of high standards of animal welfare and husbandry practices.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe working practices.
  • Collaborate with the farm team to achieve our business objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience in pig breeding and rearing, preferably in a large-scale operation.
  • Strong knowledge of animal welfare and husbandry practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, with a focus on achieving high-quality results.
