Position Overview

COMPENSATION: Up to £50K

Key Objectives:

  • Achieve all project EHS deliverables
  • Develop and refine a series of EHS Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure comprehensive legal compliance in accordance with relevant regulations
  • Foster a robust safety culture among Frontline and subcontractor personnel
  • Implement a behavioral safety approach promoting transparency and integrity
  • Design and execute programs for occupational safety, health, energy conservation, and environmental protection
  • Collaborate with Operations to align EHS requirements with project timelines and minimize risks
  • Maintain EHS standards through a systematic inspection and audit process

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client EHS meetings and support follow-up actions
  • Keep an up-to-date on-site safety documentation
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents to derive lessons learned
  • Lead internal and external audit programs in compliance with ISO standards
  • Disseminate EHS Toolbox talks and Bulletins while maintaining records
  • Oversee equipment calibration programs and retain documentation
  • Implement effective waste management practices and maintain records
  • Manage on-site records for equipment, including certifications for hired equipment
  • Adhere to client requirements regarding permits, lifting plans, and traffic management
  • Create site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Ensure proper maintenance of laydown areas and uphold good housekeeping standards
  • Display relevant EHS information prominently

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a challenging role is essential
  • Ability to meet deadlines and project deliverables is crucial
  • Previous auditing experience is preferred
  • Experience conducting site safety inspections is essential
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills are necessary
  • Strong understanding of standards and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers is essential
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Experience in establishing KPIs related to project deliverables is essential
  • SMSTS certification is preferred
  • First aid certification is desirable
  • Professional qualifications (NEBOSH, CQI, BEng, etc.) are advantageous
  • Familiarity with operations in the security sector is a plus
  • Experience in Quality Management or a degree in Quality Management is beneficial
