Role: Community Adult Consultant Psychiatrist
Department: Mental Health & Wellness Team
Location: East Region
Salary: £99,000 - £131,000 per annum (Pro-rata)
Contract Type: Substantive
Working Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA)
On-call: Frequency 1:50; Category A - 3% on-call supplement
Essential Qualifications:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- CCT or equivalent qualification
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility
- Approved Clinician status or eligibility
- Inclusion in the Specialist Register or eligibility within 6 months of obtaining CCST
Main Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate, you will be expected to:
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to adults with mental health needs.
- Offer senior medical guidance and support to team members.
- Engage directly with adults and their families, coordinating with external mental health providers and acute hospitals as necessary.
- Participate in the on-call rota, currently set at a frequency of 1:50.
- Support peers and team leaders, fostering an effective team environment while promoting individual initiative.
- Work alongside fellow Adult Consultant Psychiatrists and trainees.
- Commit to collaborative efforts, actively liaising with health and social professionals and agencies.
