About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Project Development Lead to join our team at Howden, A Chart Industries Company. As a key member of our Sales and Projects Team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our sales process, including site visits and collaboration with colleagues to tender for work.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities, researching and contacting potential customers to identify and pursue new sales leads.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Manage assigned projects and work packages, ensuring timely completion and delivering high-quality results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality assurance are maintained across all aspects of the role.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving growth and expansion.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion and delivering high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
  • Time served Indentured Apprenticeship to a recognized National Standard.
  • Expert knowledge and first-hand experience of assigned products, including trouble shooting, overhaul, repair, fault finding, installation, and commissioning.
  • Self-starting and a drive to take responsibility for all aspects of the role.
  • Customer-focused with demonstrable experience.
  • Able to produce detailed written technical documents, including site reports, root cause analysis of failures, method statements, scopes of work, and project plans.
  • Project Management skillset with demonstrable experience.
  • Ability to supervise others at site during complex installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Good appreciation and understanding of business and commercial issues in relation to the role.
  • An eye for detail and working diligently to ensure activities are fully completed to conclusion.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
