Job Title: Apprentice Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at LINKS RECRUITMENT GROUP. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and maintenance on a range of production machinery, working within a team to investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults, and completing elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  2. Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  3. Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  4. Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
  5. Ensure that 'general' building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
  6. Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
  7. Work closely with other internal departments.

Requirements:

  1. Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in an engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role.
  2. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  3. You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  4. Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  5. Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
  6. IOSH working safely/managing safely is desirable but not essential.
  7. Ideally, you will have PLC experience - specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi.
  8. Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical, and P&I drawings.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 6am-2pm, Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am, Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm.

Benefits:

Permanent role, £46,000 - £47,000 + Overtime + Training + Progression + Pension (6%) + Holiday + Healthcare + Benefits.
