About Us:

Budwood, a leading provider of residential care and support services, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Poole. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team to provide flexible and individualized care packages.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as developmental trauma and therapeutic parenting.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the welfare and well-being of our young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people, with a good understanding of the issues that affect them.
  • Flexibility to work a range of hours, including casual shifts and sleep-ins, as required.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, with a willingness to accept direction and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with our young people and their families.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as this role will involve traveling.
