Position:
Administrative Support Specialist (Band 4) for the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service
Position Details:
- Band 4
- Salary range: £27,598 – £30,019
- Full-time: 37 hours per week (1.0 WTE)
- Location: Based within the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Team
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, providing essential administrative and secretarial support across all adult SLT teams.
The role requires the ability to work independently, managing and organizing one’s own workload while executing tasks as directed by therapy professionals.
Responsibilities include:
- Ordering and maintaining office and therapy supplies
- Managing schedules and clinical administration
- Supervising day-to-day staff operations
Essential Qualifications:
Applicants should possess prior experience in a secretarial or personal assistant role and demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Capability to develop and implement administrative procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient keyboard skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of software applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Experience or aptitude in staff supervision
- Effective time management skills
Additional Information:
This position requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the candidate is not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application must be submitted to Disclosure Scotland and approved before commencing the role.
