Job Title: Transport Supervisor

At Culina Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to join our team in Skelmersdale. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager and Transport Planning Teams to maximize backloads, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize trailer utilization.
  • Ensure effective planning and utilization of drivers and sub-contract haulage for deliveries from multiple warehousing sites.
  • Act as a point of escalation to deal with queries from customers, sub-contract hauliers, and warehousing sites.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, vendors, hauliers, and partners.
  • Liaise with the GBD traffic and administration teams to ensure high standards of performance are maintained.
  • Communicate daily with operational teams, vendors, and customers regarding network and route plan changes.
Requirements:
  • Previous transport and office experience, with a high level of transport knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience in transport policy and strategy development, master planning, and transportation planning systems.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, with a high level of numeracy.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft office packages.
