About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Gardener to join our team at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. As a key member of our gardening team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our gardens and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planting and maintenance of shrubs, borders, and lawns
  • Perform a range of practical tasks, including mulching, hedge cutting, and lawn mowing
  • Work alongside gardeners and volunteers to achieve team goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering questions and sharing knowledge about the gardens
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of gardening projects
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a practical approach to work, a passion for gardening, and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working in a flexible and adaptable way, able to work alone or as part of a team, and be enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge with visitors.
