Job Summary:

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join a highly successful manufacturing business based in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and experience in operating in a rounded SME Accountant's role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Process sales and purchase ledger invoices within Sage, manage relationships with customers and suppliers, and perform credit control.
  • Payroll Administration: Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner for final completion by an external accounting firm. Payroll will include weekly, monthly, and bonus calculations.
  • VAT/PAYE Calculations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and produce management accounts up to trial balance for completion by the external accountants.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial management and payroll administration.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Education: A degree in Accounting or a related field is desirable.
