Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized or small group assistance to students with autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and reach their educational objectives.
- Create a supportive and understanding environment where students feel secure and appreciated, fostering their social and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored behaviour management strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication among students, educators, and parents/guardians, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged in the student's development.
- Encourage students to build independence and life skills, enhancing their self-esteem and resilience.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to educators and contributing to progress assessments.
- Work in partnership with teaching staff and fellow support assistants to cultivate an inclusive learning environment that addresses the diverse needs of all students.

- Experience or training in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive approach to fostering student growth.
