Wakefield, Wakefield, United Kingdom Card Factory Full time

Job Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to become an integral part of our esteemed PMO Team.

Card Factory is in search of a seasoned PMO Coordinator who possesses a profound comprehension of both agile and waterfall project management methodologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to distill complex information for a variety of stakeholders.

In the role of PMO Lead, your primary duty will be to work closely with the Head of PMO to guarantee that projects achieve the desired results while adhering to established quality, time, and budget parameters. This entails following Card Factory's standardized project management practices, generating comprehensive plans, documentation, and guidance for project teams throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with all organizational protocols.

This dynamic position requires you to provide analytical support for decision-making, offer insights on project methodologies, oversee weekly and monthly reporting cycles, and maintain both resource and financial oversight within your portfolio of work.

If you are prepared to embrace this diverse and impactful position, we are eager to hear from you.

The role allows for a flexible, hybrid working model, making it a remarkable opportunity to contribute significantly to our team.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure successful portfolio execution. Advocate for best practices in kanban systems, backlog management, JIRA usage, financial reporting, and delivery metrics. Support the management of project and program budgets. Maintain the PMO as the definitive source of information for all projects. Foster and mentor project control and governance practices. Conduct root cause analyses and document lessons learned. Manage inter-program dependencies effectively. Assist in project planning, including milestones, scope, resource allocation, financial oversight, and change management. Engage with stakeholders at all levels and prepare regular status updates for various business tiers. Identify and assist initiatives requiring additional resources or governance. Recognize, report, and mitigate risks and issues while continuously enhancing portfolio and delivery processes. Oversee delivery process systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Exceptional organizational, project, and time management capabilities. A collaborative team player. Customer-centric, prioritizing client needs. Proficient in managing projects to meet deadlines, budget constraints, and deliverable expectations. Ensure client approval at each project phase. Comply with legal, regulatory, and best practice standards. Serve as a role model with high standards, leading by example. Comprehensive understanding of PMO and PPM processes and best practices. Extensive experience throughout the project development lifecycle. Outstanding communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
