Job Title: Consultant in Child Health with Expertise in Paediatric Obesity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child Health with a special interest in Paediatric Obesity to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Child Health to take on a substantive post with a focus on Paediatric Obesity. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to children with obesity and related conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Paediatric Obesity, working closely with the complications of excess weight (CEW) service
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to children with obesity and related conditions, including acute paediatrics and CEW
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies related to Paediatric Obesity
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including formal and on-the-job clinical teaching
  • Engage in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant in Child Health with:

Full GMC registration and a licence to practiceMRCPCH or equivalentExperience of working in a multidisciplinary team and a commitment to teaching and trainingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
