About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Gastroenterology Consultant to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our paediatric gastroenterology team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care to patients with gastroenterological conditions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in paediatric medicine, surgery, and neonatology to deliver comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement clinical services to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of the East of England Paediatric Gastroenterology Network
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in paediatric gastroenterology, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a tertiary centre
  • Competent in the management of inpatients and outpatients with gastroenterological conditions
  • Independently competent in upper and lower GI diagnostic endoscopy
  • Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience at consultant level
  • Expertise in interventional endoscopy
  • Experience of teaching endoscopy
  • JAG certification
