Job Summary:
Havering Education Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fostering Panel Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Children's Social Care Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional advice to the Fostering Panel on procedures and practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Attend Fostering Panel meetings, conducted face-to-face on a Wednesday, to review practice and outcomes.
- Ensure that all Fostering reports are compliant with regulations, statutory guidance, and National Minimum Standards.
- Provide advice to the Agency Decision Maker on Fostering matters prior to and after presentation to the Fostering Panel.
- Facilitate the appointment, termination, and review of members of the central list for Fostering Panel, in consultation with the Panel Chairperson.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Fostering regulations, statutory guidance, and National Minimum Standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
