Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care settings.

About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to our young people, including:

  • Supporting daily routines, such as personal hygiene, meals, and activities
  • Assisting with room cleans and developing life skills
  • Attending medical appointments and supporting the implementation of care plans
  • Completing daily paperwork and maintaining accurate records

You will work closely with our team to ensure the young people in our care receive the best possible support and care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Flexibility in your availability, including sleep-in nights and shift work
  • An understanding of the issues that face young people in care
  • A relevant qualification in Residential Childcare or a related field (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • DBS clearance at enhanced level
