Support Care Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Care Worker to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a Support Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support daily routines, including personal hygiene, meals, and activities
  • Develop life skills and independence in young people
  • Attend medical and other appointments
  • Support activity planners and complete day sheets
  • Complete handover documents and daily paperwork
  • Manage daily room checks and housecleaning tasks
  • Assist with food and shopping needs, including meal preparation and kitchen hygiene
  • Liaise with families and build relationships
Requirements
  • Flexibility in availability, including sleep-in nights and shift work
  • Understanding of issues facing young people in care
  • Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well in a small team
  • DBS check at enhanced level (paid for by the company)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
